Privacy policy

This page explains what data Video-Unbox collects, why, and who it is shared with, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What data we collect

• Orders: name, address, email, phone (if provided) and order contents — to process and deliver your order and contact you about it.
• Account (for chat and unboxing videos): email, username and password (stored only in encrypted form), registration date and last sign-in. Other members can see your messages and videos. You can delete your account at any time under “Profile” — your data, messages and videos are deleted with it.
• Payment: card details are entered on Stripe’s page; we never receive them. Stripe only tells us that the payment succeeded.
• Technical data: our hosting provider keeps IP addresses and request times in server logs for a short period, for security.

Order data is kept for 10 years, as required by Swiss accounting law.

Who we share data with

• Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland; Stripe, Inc., USA) — payment processing.
• Swiss Post — name and address to deliver your parcel.
• Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland) — website and email hosting.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cart and favourites

Your cart and favourites are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent to us until you place an order. This site uses no advertising or analytics cookies.

Affiliate links

When you follow an affiliate link, you go to another shop’s website. The affiliate network (e.g. Awin) and that shop may set a cookie to attribute the purchase. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted (except data we must keep by law). Email us at info@myunboxingvideo.com. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you live in the EU, you also have the rights granted by the GDPR.
